October is Women’s History Month | MyNews | Seneca Students

This year marks the 30^th anniversary of Women’s History Month in Canada. 

Celebrate this important milestone by learning how women obtained the right to vote ( Women's Vote Exhibit.pdf ) in Canada, which began in 1918.

Women have made a lot of progress since 1918, however issues like equal pay, representation and gender-based violence continue to be obstacles that women and gender-diverse people face. While there is still work to be done, there is also much to celebrate amongst the innumerable accomplishments of women across the country and around the world.
