Join us for Sustainability Days of Action to learn about sustainable practices and tools available to you on and off campus. Events will be held at each campus to help you engage, learn and get involved with sustainability at Seneca Polytechnic.

Sustainability Fair

Stop by the Sustainability Fair on Thursday, March 21 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. outside The Service Hub, Building D, Newnham Campus. Learn about the energy and waste initiatives taking place at Seneca, get a chance to test drive an electric vehicle, taste the produce grown on campus and much more.

Don’t forget to visit the Mending Shop taking place in Room K3177, Building K, Newnham Campus from noon to 2 p.m. at K3177 to have your clothes fixed by students from the School of Fashion. Register by Thursday, March 14.

Climate Café

Join the Climate Café on Friday, March 22 from 1 to 2 p.m. in the Northern Hive, Magna Hall, King Campus to discuss climate change, your thoughts and feelings toward it and much more. Register online by Friday, March 15.

Afterwards, you can join a 45-minute guided wellness walk around King Campus from 2 to 2:45 p.m. The walk will start in the Northern Hive. Register online by Friday, March 15.

 Career Threads Pop-up

Dress to impress at your next job interview by attending the Career Threads Pop-up on Tuesday, March 26 from noon to 2:30 p.m. in Room G16, Markham Campus. Stop by to get free business attire for upcoming interviews and networking events. Each student can receive up the three pieces per semester.

Career Threads is also available every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Room D2337, Building D, Newnham Campus.

Documentary screening of The Need to Grow

Watch the documentary The Need to Grow on Wednesday, March 27 from noon to 2 p.m. in The Hive, Room S2016, Seneca@York Campus. The documentary follows a girl who challenges the ethics of a beloved organization and discusses the challenges and innovations of sustainable agriculture.

Snacks will be provided.

Also, from Monday, March 18 to Saturday, March 23, enjoy a special sustainability menu at The Pond, Newnham’s Cafeteria featuring low-impact, local, or vegan/vegetarian meals.
