Attend the End of an Era “The Final Buzzer” event — Dec. 1

All are welcome to bid adieu to the Newnham Sports Centre on Friday, Dec. 1.

After 51 years, the Newnham Sports Centre will be closing in preparation for the Health & Wellness Centre. Join us for the final varsity home games as we cheer on our Seneca Sting basketball teams and celebrate the moments, triumphs and memories we’ve shared in the Sports Centre over the years. 

Schedule of events:

  • 2 p.m. — gymnasium doors open
  • 2:45 p.m. — opening celebration
  • 3 p.m. — Seneca Sting women’s basketball vs. George Brown Huskies
  • 5:30 p.m. — Seneca Sting men’s basketball vs. George Brown Huskies
  • 7:30 p.m. — closing reception in the SeneCentre

Register online to attend. The first 500 people at the event will receive a commemorative throwback T-shirt. 

This is more than a basketball game; it’s a farewell to the past and a toast to the future.
