Seneca will be commemorating Transgender Awareness Week from Monday, Nov. 13 to Sunday, Nov. 19 to raise visibility for two-spirit, transgender, non-binary and gender diverse peoples and to address issues members in the community face.

To kick off the week, all are welcome to attend the Transgender Awareness Week Opening Event on Nov. 13 from 11 a.m. to noon. The event will start at 11 a.m. with the raising of the transgender flag outside of Building A at Newnham Campus.

It will be followed with light refreshments and a special presentation at 11:30 a.m. at The Meeting Place, Level 3, Building K, Newnham Campus. The presentation will feature Kaleb Robertson (he/him) known as Fluffy Soufflé (they/them) for a drag story time performance and dialogue on libraries and transgender belonging.

The presentation will be live streamed
