National Alert Ready Test

On May 10, 2023, Ontario, along with other participating provinces and territories, will be conducting a province wide test message through Alert Ready, Canada’s emergency alerting system. 

The test message will be distributed over television, radio, and compatible wireless devices at 12:55 PM EST.

Seneca has its own Mass Notification system through SenecaSAFE.

SenecaSAFE Mass Notification 

SenecaSAFE provides campus alerts through a variety of channels, including:

  • Push notification directly to your phone
  • App alerts
  • SMS text message
  • Desktop computer screen displays
  • Phone call and/or voicemail
  • Digital displays
  • Website and social media alerts

When an emergency occurs at Seneca, an alert will be pushed out by Security to notify the community.
