Hello Anurag,

The shuttle bus system is between campuses only. Your closest campus is Seneca@York. So you would need to figure out how to get to Seneca@York and take the shuttle bus from York to your campus. Keep in mind, that the shuttle bus system is on a first-come/first-served basis and there is limited seating.

Remember to give yourself extra time to get a wristband from security, which is needed to board the shuttle bus.

Best of luck,

T

Hello Nikita,

There are no shuttle buses leaving King early enough to get you to Newnham campus by 8 AM. If you live on residence and need to get to Newnham, you will need to take the YRT 88 bus that will take you from King Campus to Finch Subway Station. Once you are at Finch Subway Station, you will need to take either the 39A, 39B, 39C, or the 939 (Express). Any of these buses will take you to the Newnham campus. The Stop is Seneca Hill Drive.

A couple of important pieces to note it takes about an hour to get from King to Finch on the 88 bus, and another 10-20 minutes on the 39/939 bus. You will need to pay two fares. If you are using your Presto Card it will be $3.03 (Youth) or $3.88 (Adult 20+) for the YRT. And for the TTC, it will be $2.25 (Youth) or $3.20 (Adult). If you pay cash it will be about $.05 - $.25 more for each fare.

Hope that helps. If you have more questions about the shuttle service - be sure to connect with the SSF (ssfinc.ca) as this comment area is not regularly monitored.

You can take the the University/Spadina line going northbound to finch station.  From finch station you take the 39 finch east bus and get off at Don Mills.  Walk east 4mins to the campus.

Hi Joshi. I guess the shuttle bus is only running from one campus to another campus. Maybe you can get to one of the campus near you and then transport to the desired one.  You may want to ask the support for reassurance.  And please let me know what the answer is.

Hello,

Is there a plan of increasing the number of buses from Newnham to SIA? especially the 715am trip. 1 bus is not enough for all students, ends up taking the TTC or Lyft and shows up late for class.

Thank you

As a reminder, the campus shuttle buses should not be your main mode of transportation. Most colleges and universities do not provide shuttle services and those that do often charge. The cost for an additional shuttle bus is in the $1000s!

Second - the campus shuttle buses DO NOT make stops outside of the Seneca Campuses (York, Newnham, King, and SIA). You are responsible for getting to your classes with or without the shuttle bus.

If you have further shuttle bus questions - please be sure to send them to the email address that is listed at the bottom of the shuttle bus schedules.

Hi

I am sure students appreciate the free bus ride and totally understand that it is too costly to get another bus.

However, I think students would not really mind paying a reasonable fare for convenience especially this coming winter instead of taking the TTC/YRT buses or Lyft, I'm pretty much sure the $1000 will be covered by the fare. Just a suggestion. I can only speak for SIA.

Thanks

Please explain the reasoning for the wristbands?  It seems unnecessary when students have the onecard.

Also the building doors are locked closest to the bus stop at seneca york at 7am. This causes undo stress on students showing up last minute because the doors that are unlocked are on the other side of the building. Please rectify this by getting the doors unlocked or asking the bus driver to waive the wristband requirement.

Thank you

Yes you can,you just need to show a Seneca photo id also the wrist bands are always available at the security, you just need to ask them.

Hello,

I'm from the Newnham Campus and will be going to the King Campus next week. Do you get the wristband one day before or on the same day that I will go? Would I go to Building K to the Security Services?

Thank you.

Hey, no you already pay for it in your tuition. if you go to the myseneca page for your account, it will have a breakdown on what Seneca is charging you. You can also use their gym as it is included in your tuition.

Hope this helps:)
