  • Some, but not all programs have a regularly scheduled break during the Summer semester. Students who do not have a scheduled break during the Summer, who need a break in a different Semester, or who need a break longer than four months, may request a Leave of Absence

If you are planning to request a leave of absence, please first consult with your student adviser to ensure that your plans are compatible with the scheduled semester offerings in your program.

International students are especially recommended to consult with their student adviser and Seneca International in advance as unscheduled breaks can have impacts on their study permit/VISA, eligibility to work in Canada, and Post-Graduation Work Permit.
