Why Should I Attend the Seneca Student Leadership Conference?

Students will have the chance to learn and practice new concepts and skills in an inclusive and educational learning environment that fosters and advocates peer-to-peer connection and co-learning.

By attending, you will:

· learn from experts and leaders across communities, fields, and organizations

· gain valuable leadership knowledge, skills, and experiences to enhance your leadership practice

· connect with Seneca staff and peers that make up the Seneca community

· have the opportunity to obtain a participation record by completing a reflection exercise about the conference and your key learnings.

Can I obtain recognition for attending this event?

Yes. Conference participants will have the chance to be recognized for their engagement in the conference by receiving Recognition of Conference Attendance It will be earned by registering with and participating in the entire conference on February 28 and completing a reflection exercise. Reflection exercises will be shared with attendees one week after the conference and designed to assess learning.

1. Register and attend the Seneca Student Leadership Conference

2. Apply for the Recognition of Conference Attendance by completing the online reflection exercise

3. Await approval by a Student Life administrator

4. Share your Recognition of Conference Attendance digitally or print it to showcase your achievement(s)!

Will the Conference be in-person or online?

The Winter 2024 Leadership Conference will be held in person on Wednesday, February 28, 2024. Spots are limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Will the conference be recorded?

Conference activities held in person (Day One (1) will not be recorded. However, photos and videos may be taken to capture the event.

Do I need a ticket for conference Day?

Yes. Students must register for the conference day using the registration link. Students without tickets will not be admitted to the conference.

How do I sign up for the Individual workshops?

Students can register for the workshop of their choice when they register for the conference. Sign-ups for the individual workshops will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note: rooms have a capacity limit, and once they are reached, the workshop will be closed.
