Social Insurance Number (SIN) Clinic coming to a campus near you | Get involved with Student Life

To legally work in Canada, you need a nine-digit Social Insurance Number issued by Service Canada.

At the beginning of each term, Seneca Polytechnic invites Service Canada to come to each campus to issue your Social Insurance Number.

International students must register for a specific timeslot and bring their original and valid documents listed below to their appointments:

1. A study permit issued by IRCC or CIC which indicates the permit holder “may accept employment or “may work” in Canada
2. A passport

• Markham Campus (SIA): Tuesday, Sept. 12 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Room G98
• Seneca@York Campus: Tuesday, Sept. 12 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Room S1209
• Newnham Campus: Wednesday, Sept. 13 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Room D2014
• King Campus: Thursday, Sept. 14 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Room MH1540
