I have developed a better understanding of the Canadian financial industry. I have been part of an ambitious group of immigrant professionals from diverse backgrounds and ethnicities eager to take on the industry, attended job shadowing sessions with two top banks, practiced my interview and employer-engagement skills amongst other activities. The EFS team has been of tremendous support in helping us to achieve our ultimate goal of transitioning into the financial services industry. They have provided us with insights into the industry, explained the expectations of the professional roles and given useful feedback to help us improve in the practical sessions. I consider the EFS program to be a finishing school in which one’s skills are enhanced and presented in the best possible light preparatory to starting a career in the financial services industry here in Canada.
