Inbound Semester Exchange

Interested in a semester exchange in Canada? Seneca welcomes students from our partner institutions for one or two semesters!

Program Selection

Semester exchange length is usually one to two semesters.

Students can select either an advanced diploma program (three-year) or a degree program (four-year).

It is highly recommended that students select courses from ONE program ONLY. If students choose courses from two different programs to satisfy their credit transfer requirement at their home institution, they must pick 80% of their courses from one program and a maximum of 20% of their course load from the other program.

+Language Requirements

For students attending one semester without needing a Canadian study permit, there's no requirement to provide Seneca with an official proof of English proficiency. However, partner institutions should only nominate students who they believe can succeed in English.

Students who require a study permit (six months and above of study in Canada) must have an IELTS score of 5.5 minimum (or equivalent) to apply. Please visit the Government of Canada’s website for more information on study permit.
