All students are required to use MFA and there is no option to opt out.

Seneca has implemented many measures to prevent students and employees from falling victim to cyber hackers and those measures have helped Seneca successfully prevent serious cyberattacks, spam email attacks and phishing email incidents. Increasingly, hackers are using sophisticated tools and mechanisms which, if unchecked, will continue to leave Seneca vulnerable to such attacks. Building on these security improvements, we have implemented measures to prevent credential theft. Seneca has decided to implement MFA for all students and has chosen Microsoft Authenticator as our multifactor authentication system.
