RE: Preparing to come on campus

Everyone at Seneca is excited to welcome you to the Fall 2022 Term.

Our campuses are open for classes, labs and for you to access our libraries, study spaces, food services and athletic facilities.

Here are some important things to remember:

Proof of vaccination against COVID-19:

  • You must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to come on campus
  • Download the Seneca SAFE App and the virtual Seneca OneCard to your smartphone — both are needed before you come to campus
  • If you haven’t already, upload your proof of COVID-19 vaccination to the Seneca SAFE App as soon as possible using these instructions
  • We will notify you by email when your proof of vaccination has been verified; you can’t come to campus until you hear from us

Coming on campus:

  • If you are driving to King, Markham, Newnham or Seneca@York campuses, you must purchase a parking permit using the Honk mobile app or website
  • The Seneca intercampus shuttle service will also be running, and public transit is available
  • Enter through the designated entrance(s) at the campus you’re attending
  • Tap your OneCard at one of the self-serve kiosks each time you enter a campus
  • Wear a mask while in instructional spaces such as classrooms, labs, IT labs, studios and other enclosed spaces where physical distancing is not possible (e.g., small meeting rooms, washrooms, etc.)
  • Faculty who are teaching and students who are presenting may remove their mask when speaking if they are physically distanced
  • The Service Hub, libraries, food services and seating areas will be open
  • Medical and KN95 masks will be available at campus entrances for those in need, and personal protective equipment will be provided if required for your classes or labs

Daily health check:

Finally, here’s an orientation video to watch prior to coming to campus.

We look forward to seeing you.

If you have any questions, please contact us at health@senecacollege.ca. And always check Seneca’s COVID-19 website for updates.
