Since March 2020, Seneca has adapted to using digital resources, which has reduced printing on campus. In alignment with Au Large, Seneca’s Information Technology Services department and the Office of Sustainability have teamed up to launch a sustainable printing initiative aimed to reduce the amount of printing on campus.

As we continue to look for sustainable solutions at Seneca, this approach, which will result in strategically removing Xerox printers on campus, will save energy on campus and reduce our carbon footprint by saving more than 9 million printed pages each year.

Printers will still be available for student and employee use on all campuses in centralized locations. These locations are still being determined. All printing will default to double-sided and black and white. Printing costs will remain the same.

Colour and A3 size printing will only be available to print at the Print Shop on campus.
