On Sunday, May 29, Prashant Srivastava, Regional Business Director, Middle East, North Africa and South Asia, was celebrated along with 44 Indo-Canadian leaders in government, education and business at the India@75 Gala, hosted by Impact Media and Events Corporation.

The India@75 gala is one of many events taking place globally to mark India’s 75th year of independence.

Guests included Ajay Bisaria, High Commissioner of India to Canada and Apoorva Srivastava, Consul General of India to Toronto. Seneca Business student Harshneet Kaur was featured on a dance team as part of the festivities.

On hand to congratulate Mr. Srivastava were President David Agnew; SSF President Ritik Sharma; Renata D’Innocenzo, Vice-President, Strategy and Brand; Radha Krishnan, CIO and Vice-President, Customer Support; Keith Monrose, Executive Director, Seneca International; Margaret Osborne, Professor, Seneca Business and Nagasarath Pandurangi, Regional Business Development Manager, South Asia.

“Canadian and Indian values have shaped me,” said Mr. Srivastava. “Growing up and living in a diverse country like India taught me tolerance and respect for all cultures, religions and human beings. This synergizes so much with the Canadian ethos of multiculturalism that I feel so proud to be a Canadian of Indian origin.”
